This summer I had the opportunity to visit Universal Orlando Resort for the very first time during the fabulous Family Forward conference. (We were given discounted tickets and accommodations as part of the Family Forward conference fee.) My family and I were able to soak up the thrills and chills (Diagon Alley will definitely give you those) and really enjoy the magic of a different Orlando vacation destination. We had fun, for sure, but we also were able to relax a bit (ok…I was able to relax a bit) and enjoy unbridled family time. It was a Labor Day weekend I will never forget.
And I’ve heard the holiday celebrations at Universal Orlando Resort are just too fun! Here’s the info on what’s coming up this holiday season:
Celebrate the holidays at Universal Orlando® Resort December 6, 2014-January 3, 2015. At Universal Studios Florida®, the Macy’s Holiday Parade™ fills the streets with floats and more. The fun continues with Grinchmas™ at Universal’s Islands of Adventure®, featuring the Grinchmas Who-liday Spectacular. Plus, enjoy incredible live performances by the award-winning Mannheim Steamroller on select nights.
Universal Orlando® Resort will have everyone’s favorite, timeless holiday traditions while also allowing for some room to create new traditions of your own. And if you get a chance, do stay at the Loews Portofino Bay Resort. It is a little slice of Italian heaven in the middle of central Florida. It’s plush hotel yet ultra family-friendly. It renewed my dream to have a gelato in St. Peter’s Square. The brand-new Universal’s Cabana Bay Resort is another great option. It’s very affordable and has family suites that include a kitchenette and sleep up to six!
