Yo Gabba Gabba! is the one Nick Jr. show that I (and I think most parents0 would secretly watch even if their kids weren’t around. Hearing “Biz’s beats” (from rapper icon Biz Markie) is always a favorite part of an episode for me. I try to keep the beat and make my mouth move the way his does but somehow it doesn’t sound the same. But now Atlantan parents like me who want to rock and roll (and rap) IN PERSON along with their kids can do so this coming Sunday, October 30 at the Fabulous Fox Theatre when Yo Gabba Gabba Live! comes to town.
Last year, this show was packed and so fun for all ages. My kids talked about it for months. And even now, when they see the commercials on TV, they beg to go again. (Little do they know I snagged tickets weeks ago!) This definitely is a great performance for kids of all ages. Even babies are encouraged to attend. No one minds a little crying or talking during this show…everyone is too busy singing and dancing! (Note that at the Fox Theatre ALL patrons, even babes in arms, need a ticket.)
Come see all your favorites like DJ Lance Rock, Brobee, Foofa,Muno, Plex, and Toodee, with special guests Biz Markie and Razzle Dazzle Superstar Leslie Hall. The songs are fun and silly (and catchy) and the show really does a great job of drawing the kids in and keeping their attention from curtain to curtain. And they keep the parents’ attention too. Even my husband is looking forward to going (and that says a lot!).
This year, there are two shows at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta at 2pm and 5pm on Sunday, October 30, 2011. It will be a nice little pre-Halloween “treat” for your little tricksters. Tickets start at $30 and can be bought online.
Enjoy!
