Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is a limited-run 8 show series with some of the biggest names in entertainment today including Elizabeth Banks, Michael Ian Black, Bradley Cooper, Judah Friedlander, Janeane Garofalo, Joe Lo Truglio, Ken Marino, Christopher Meloni, Marguerite Moreau, Zak Orth, David Hyde Pierce, Paul Rudd, Molly Shannon, Michael Showalter and “Joy” from Inside Out, Amy Poehler. Or in other words…everyone you love.
Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp is a prequel to the 2001 cult-comedy, Wet Hot American Summer. It tells the story of the first day of Camp Firewood’s famous summer season, now fourteen years after the film’s debut. The series is directed by David Wain and co-written by Wain and Michael Showalter.
I haven’t gotten a sneak peak of this new series (yet) but I just know it’s the next big thing. For all of you looking to to stay on top of your binge-worthy game of entertainment programming, mark July 31, 2015 on your calendar. That’s the day your new favorite show starts streaming.
