I am very lucky to be a part of a moms group that cares about our health as much as we care about hanging out. Sure the North Cobb Mocha Moms like to eat and drink but we also meet up each week for our “Three mile Thursdays” walk at a local track. Our chapter president, Yolanda of YourUnexpectedBeauty, is making sure we don’t forget that taking care of ourselves is the key to our organization. (She’s the one in the middle in the group photo.) We chat, walk, and some of us push strollers and before we realize it we are drenched in sweat and have gotten in a great workout. It’s awesome!
The Three-Mile Thursday Crew & Children’s Claritin
I am part of the Children’s Claritin Mom Crew and they asked me meet up with other moms to spend some time focusing on ourselves. They even sent some goodies to share with my friends. And my Three Mile Thursday peeps were the perfect people to share them with. No I didn’t hand out allergy medicine (though everyone probably would have loved that) but instead they sent some cold/heat gel packs that will be a big help for us sinus sufferers, as well as a checklist to help moms prepare for the spring and summer allergy season.
I love getting together with my Mocha Moms for pretty much any reason, but I really appreciate those of us who come out to workout despite the heat, the burning sun, or the kid(s) we have to drag along. We are all about becoming our best selves and taking care of ourselves in every way we can. Go Mochas!
