Recently, SCANA Energy launched their new blog, GasWise —www.scanaenergy.com/blog — to help people learn more about natural gas in general and SCANA Energy in particular.
SCANA Energy Launches GasWise Blog
GasWise is devoted to helping people new to the world of natural gas get some questions answered and to help everyone get smart about natural gas. Full of tips, tricks and other useful, easy to read information, it is a great place to inform yourself about the energy you use. I especially appreciate the money and energy saving tips. They are the experts after all!
For example, on SCANA Energy’s GasWise blog, they posed seven ways to save money on energy bills that you probably have not thought about. For instance, did you know that washing dishes by hand uses more energy (and water) than running your dishwasher? I had no clue! Another favorite tip of mine is to save energy by ordering take out for dinner. While honestly that won’t save me much money, it does make me feel better about going through the drive thru after swim team practice tonight. (Ok…any excuse for me to not have to make dinner is a good one to me!)
SCANA Energy Discount
In honor of the launch of the GasWise blog, SCANA Energy wanted to reward Mamalicious Maria readers with a special offer for new SCANA Energy customers! When you sign up for new service, just reference promo code GW100 and save up to $100. Maybe it’s time for a new/different natural gas provider?
SCANA Energy in the Community
I love that SCANA Energy is not just about providing natural gas to the community, but they are helping the community as well. Currently, they fund 8 homework centers through their community initiative programs. These centers help children in schools throughout the metro-Atlanta area. They are secure, supervised environments where children in grades two through five can spend time after school working on homework assignments and developing study skills.
For each Homework Center, SCANA Energy funds two certified teachers, snacks, supplies and student incentives. SCANA Energy Homework Centers are operated and managed by 21st Century Leaders, Inc., a nonprofit corporation based in Decatur, Georgia.
Students can also use the GasWise blog to help them with their science homework or to just learn more about the energy that helps to heat our homes, cook our food, wash our dishes, do our laundry, etc. Check it out for yourself! (And then go get some take out!)
