I have to be honest. My idea of quick easy breakfasts tend to involve a toaster and a squeeze pack of icing. With 4 kids in 2 schools mornings are controlled chaos at my house. (Emphasis on chaos.) Timing is everything and one small thing, like making a hot breakfast, can throw us totally off. However, when I was scrolling through Facebook recently I noticed something strange. Other moms are making hot breakfasts for their families. Like…actually cooking…in the morning…on a school day.
Mind. Blown.
After I quieted down the “I’m such a bad mom” gremlins that infiltrate me on these such occasions, I decided that once in awhile, I could stretch myself and cook my family a hot breakfast. But I knew that this was never going to work unless I figured out how to make quick easy breakfasts my kids will actually eat. [God help my kids who turn up their nose at something I cooked for them at 6am.]
