Want to get a chance to see how the 1% pampers their kids? How about giving your kids (especially your girls) the chance to hang out in the ultimate play place? Or maybe you just want one or two (or a dozen) really good cupcakes? Then you must get to Phipps Plaza to check out the newest location for Pink Pastry Parlor.
This place is part cupcakery and part princess playhouse. Anyone can come in and enjoy their unique cupcakes and other sweet treats (starting around $3). For those who want to see what’s beyond the pink walls, book a craft or baking class for you and your little one ($22 and $35 respectively). The classes include some time in the “Game room” which is filled with everything from a wall full of flat screens with a different Wii game on each, to a four foot high doll house neighborhood, to all the hip retro board games the cool girls are playing this year. There is also a boys area with a train table (though my boys loved the Wii room). Your kids will not want to leave. Seriously. I had to bribe them with more cupcakes.
Pink Pastry Parlor also offers birthday parties and did one recenly for Diddy’s daughter. But you better have Diddy’s money if you want to throw a party here. Prices start at $699 for eight kids. They also have a super cool “Stay-N-Play” option so parents can drop their kids off and then shop, go to dinner, or to a movie. But at $30/hour per child, this doesn’t seem to make sense for a lot of people. It would cost me $120/hour. Umm…no. However, if you have one child and just want a quick break and want to give your child a really fun time, then maybe this option works for you. Everything isn’t for everybody.
Pink Pastry Parlor is one of those places that you might think are only for the Buckhead Bettys, but it is cute, fun, and everything a girl could want. And since they have reasonable rates for craft and baking classes, there is something for every budget. I already promised a return trip to my five year old.
