@Netflix for the win! #Streamteam

This must have been a very tense part of the movie!

I love Netflix. And I don’t say that just because I’m part of their Streamteam (which is a group of bloggers selected to learn more about Netflix and hopefully pass the information on their readers). I love Netflix because it helps me take a shower.

Let me explain. I am not one to let the TV babysit my kids. Maybe if my kids would sit down long enough to watch something then I would be one to let the TV babysit my kids. But fortunately or unfortunately as the case may be, TV just doesn’t hold their attention. However, for some reason, watching Netflix on the iPad does hold their attention. Maybe it’s because there are thousands of shows to choose from and they can jump from one to another so quickly. Maybe it’s the novelty of holding the “TV” in their hands. Or maybe they just get that Netflix rocks. Either way, I can get a good 30 minutes of quiet while my kids watch a show. And I can take a shower. And when traveling, Netflix is a godsend in hotel rooms FYI.

Any mom will tell you the value of being able to take a shower uninhibited. It’s exhilarating. I might even get fancy and try to wash my hair during that time too. Some days if I am already powder-fresh, I will actually sit down at the dining room table with a book and my lunch and take a real, honest-to-goodness lunch break. It’s heavenly.

Now I know all the cool kids only let their children watch TV on weekends in months ending with “e”, but in this house, we are going to watch some TV. Judge me if you want. I am just glad I have so many options on Netflix that I can make everyone happy (Veggie Tales and King Julien are always big hits), even me.   So for this Mom of 4, it’s Netflix for the win because I was able to shower BY MYSELF today. Thanks Netflix.
