5 Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve Events for Families
1. Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve Bubble Bash at Children’s Museum of Atlanta
The Children’s Museum of Atlanta was one of the first places to host an Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve event. It has been a hit ever since! Once again they will be hosting their New Year’s Bubble Bash twice this year with countdowns at 12 noon and 3:30 p.m. on Dec. 31. Tickets sell out quickly! No tickets will be sold at the door.
This rocking party for kids will include a dance party, bubble-wrap fireworks, special guests and some new surprises. While The Children’s Museum of Atlanta says it is geared to children 8 years old and younger, I think their recent renovation makes it exciting for kids up to age 12.
2. Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve at LEGOLAND Discovery Center
LEGOLAND Discovery Center Atlanta invites families to ring in the New Year early at its annual Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve on December 31! Families then can stay as long as they like for a full day event. You can even get lunch there!
There will be a traditional countdown and balloon drop at 12 noon. Throughout the day, LEGO fans can also take part in a large group build, enter to win great prizes and receive a special New Year’s gift (while supplies last). All activities are included with admission to the LEGOLAND Discovery Center.
3. New Year’s Eve at Six Flags Over Georgia
Enjoy the over 1 million lights at Six Flags Over Georgia’s Holiday in the Park and be home way before midnight. Let the whole family get the thrill of the season. This option is especially good for families that include kids of differing ages. You can ride some of the theme park’s most popular rides, take in a holiday show, and try some seasonal treats (the grilled cheese restaurant is my favorite.) Six Flags Over Georgia is open 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and through January 6, 2019 when it will close until Spring. Check out this article for tips on making the most out of your trip to Six Flags Over Georgia.
4. Winter Wonderland at World of Coca-Cola
Indulge in some holiday cheer during the day at the World of Coca-Cola. Festivities are in full swing but will end on New Year’s day. The attraction’s holiday celebration is included with the price of your ticket. It features special seasonal exhibits, larger-than-life decorations and samples of limited-time sodas to taste. Go for the Gingerbread Coke and Chocolate Cherry Coke. My kids LOVE this place!
5. Stone Mountain Park Kids Early New Year’s Eve Celebration
Ok, ok, so this one isn’t technically an Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve event but it does start 3 hours early. AND it will get you home to watch the ball drop in your pj’s. This is basically a kid-friendly countdown that complies with bedtime. You can take the family to Stone Mountain Park’s Kids’ Early New Year’s Eve Celebration. It features more than two million sparkling lights, seasonal activities, a “snowfall,” and a countdown to 9 p.m. instead of midnight. New Year’s Eve activities are included with a Christmas Mountain ticket. Add in a Snow Mountain ticket too for a full day of fun.
There are plenty of family friendly New Year’s Eve activities in Atlanta. The Atlanta Noon Year’s Eve celebrations mean everyone can have fun ringing in the New Year.
