Three of my kids, all my boys actually, deal with eczema to varying degrees. And now that winter is just about here the itchy, redness, and rash are all back. Apparently the cold, dry weather really aggravates their sensitive skin and makes my poor boys miserable at times.
Along with a prescription cream from my pediatrician, I use Aveeno products almost exclusively and they really help. They don’t contain perfume or other ingredients that cause the eczema to flare up and the moisturizers calm the irritated skin on contact. I find it especially helpful to slather them with the cream after their bath so the water gets soaked into their parched skin.
