Grab your calfs and hoof it down to Marietta for the Chick-Fil-A Connect Race Series: East Cobb on October 12, 2013. I received a race entry for telling you about this great 5K and I’m excited to be a part of it! There will be a 5K as well as a 1K fun run (great for kids). And while you’re getting fit, you’ll be giving back too! The proceeds from the Chick-Fil-A Race Series: East Cobb will benefit Schools for Niger, Africa to help provide affordable alternatives for the children and families in Niger. The Chick-Fil-A Connect Race Series will feature chronotrack chip timing as well as a USATF certified and sanctioned course. Runners will receive dri-fit shirts and everyone in attendance will be invited to participate in an incredible atmosphere for the entire family and get a chance to win Chick-Fil-A food products for a year! Not a runner? No worries! You can walk, run, or push a stroller…just keep going! There will also be a free Family FunZone next to the finish line with family friendly activity area filled with several inflatables open to children up to 12 years of age. You can register online or the day of the event (but you aren’t guaranteed a shirt).
