Call me a skeptic. When I was approached about getting eye lash extensions I quickly shot down the idea. Surely that’s not something moms do, right? That’s something for those hipster millennials right? I wouldn’t look like myself right? Wrong. Wrong. Wrong.

I am thrilled I was persuaded to give eyelash extensions a try. They made my eyes pop and amazingly dressed up even my everyday yoga pants and tank top wardrobe. I felt…pretty…in a natural way.

When you are dealing with your eyes, you don’t want to go to some back alley place! The eyelash extensions I received are specially designed to be extremely lightweight. They DO NOT feel like false eyelashes! In fact, they are so comfortable I forget I have them. Their curve and finish are so natural I can claim them as my own, and no one would guess I’m not telling the truth. The eyelash extensions come in a variety of lengths and thicknesses to naturally enhance existing lashes. They transformed my eyes in something really special.

First of all, eyelash extensions do not hurt. The hardest part is laying still for almost two hours. However the private suite at Amazing Lash Studio was more than nice. The bed was comfortable, the pillow was soft, and the stylist was as sweet as could be. It really was a relaxing enjoyable experience. I laid on a comfortable massage table with my eyes closed while my stylist applied my eyelash extensions. I was told many clients often fall asleep then awaken to longer, thicker and more voluminous eyelashes.
While I was relaxing my stylist was working hard to attach one of their light-weight eyelash extensions to one of my own eyelashes approximately 1mm from your eyelid with pharmaceutical grade adhesive. The stylist worked with me to choose the right length, width, and style of my eyelash extensions. I went with “natural” and “medium” density. I loved that there is no commitment with this service. When my natural lash sheds, the extension remains attached to the lash as it falls out. To maintain a full appearance, Amazing Lash Studio recommended to schedule a refill every 2-4 weeks. Refills can be completed in approximately 45-60 minutes. I had not planned on getting a refill but now I’m trying to figure out how to fit this into my monthly budget!
