DICK’S Sporting Goods is the one-stop shop for all your back to school shopping needs. It’s also the one-stop shop for your tween thru 7 year old needs. And your size 4 youth through size 11.5 mens needs. And your “cross country is starting tomorrow and I have NOTHING to wear” needs. Yup. It’s got us all covered.
Last week I spent 2.5 hours roaming the gigantic DICK’S Sporting Goods store in Kennesaw, GA getting my last back to school shopping items together. With 4 kids, there’s always something more to get! I needed shoes for school and for 2 different sports (basketball and cross country) as well as backpacks, running clothes, sports bras, socks and compression leggings. Amazingly, I found everything there!
I left with a shopping cart full of high quality items and I didn’t break the bank. I spent about $350 for everything! And more importantly, ALL the kids were happy. Yay! Here’s why DICK’S is such a great place for back to school shopping (or any time)

6 Reasons DICKS Sporting Goods is the Best Place for Back to School Shopping
1. Best price guarantee.
Think you saw those Nike shoes for a lower price somewhere else? Even online? DICK’S will match it. Before you check out, take a minute to google your items (shoes especially) and see if there are some savings. I did this for everything I bought but nothing was cheaper anywhere else.
2. You can buy online and pick up in store.
In only about 1 hour, you can do your shopping online and then swing by to get it at the store. Maybe you don’t have 2.5 hours to meander through the store like I did. #smart
3. They have a huge variety of items.
You can get high quality sports equipment for any athletic endeavors as well as finding the coolest streetwear all the kids are wearing. You’ll find Nike shorts, The North Face jackets, Adidas Shirts, Champion Crew items, and more. For footwear, they have the Air Max collection, Nike Zoom Freak, adidas Ultraboost, and the new-to-generation-z shoes, Vans.
For your back to school shopping, they also have backpacks, water bottles, lunch boxes, pencil cases, sunglasses and yoga pants for moms in the carpool line. (I’m with you!)
4. They offer great deals and coupons.
Look, coupons aren’t super sexy, but I learned a long time ago that the rich stay rich because of how frugal they are. If you don’t have to spend all your money, and still get the best quality items, isn’t that the best of both worlds? I say yes! Sign up for DICK’S emails to get an initial 10% off your order. I did it right in the store! Also, look for weekly deals and clearance sales to score even more savings.
5. You can download the DICK’S app to earn points.
Earn points by buying items as well as hitting your goal on your Fitbit. That’s correct. You can get up to 3 points a day for hitting her goal. Points can be traded in for DICK’S cash.
6. They just debuted the new DSG line
DSG is the first complete line of apparel exclusively sold at DICK’S designed to outfit the entire family at a great price. We bought several items from this line. They were substantially cheaper but the dame quality. For example, the Under Armour compression pants were $40. DSG were $20!
I love that one percent of all sales of DSG will be donated to DICK’S Foundation Sports Matter program too. This non-profit helps fund youth sports organizations in need across the country.
For your back to school shopping or sports season shopping or anything else the whole family needs, make DICK’S Sporting Goods your first and only stop!
