This is a sponsored post from Carter’s though my opinions are always my own.
Christmas is the perfect time of year to give back. Our hearts are more open. We are more receptive to charitable causes. Our wallets are already getting a good workout buying ALL.THE.THINGS our kids want. So why not help kids in need too? Carter’s Babies and Kids is giving Atlanta families that opportunity!
Carter’s Babies and Kids has launched a partnership with the Pajama Program’s “One Million Good Nights” campaign here in Atlanta. They have pajama donation bins set up in all of the Carter’s stores throughout Atlanta collecting pajamas for Atlanta children in need this winter. Danger Season started the first week of December. It is the coldest, most difficult time for the children served by the Pajama Program. Many of these children have been abused, abandoned or neglected and live in group homes, shelters or temporary housing without adequate heat. Toys are great but these kids really need warm pajamas.
Carter’s Babies and Kids has a goal is to donate 100,000 pairs of pajamas to children in need by December 31. The average age of a homeless person in the United States is 9 years old and it is easy to forget that bedtime can be a scary time for these kids. The gift of a warm pair of pajamas goes a long way toward warmth but also toward comfort and the idea of hope for a better future.
