Looking for a reasont to take a mom vacation? I’m here for you. I was invited and hosted by Carnival to experience the Permission to Hustle social media and blogging event. And I could not bring my family. It gave me the best excuse for a mom vacation I didn’t know how much I needed.
The Permission to Hustle Retreat with Carnival included 40 women joining together to learn from each other and grow with each other. Every woman attending believed in the power of coming together to share, grow, build and learn from each other. The idea that a rising tide lifts all boats was very prevalent. Pun totally intended.
Since so many of us work from home and have our businesses online, we can feel isolated. Most writers/bloggers crave the opportunity to meet up with other people because there’s something truly magical about connecting with like-minded people in person. Meeting face-to-face is still the way to go! Go figure!
4 Reasons to Book a Mom Vacation
- You deserve it. You give so much to your family, job, and community. Give something back to yourself.
- You will come back refreshed. The truth is that a good mom vacation will help you be a better mom when you come back. You will be refreshed and energized…ready for all the things.
- You can get some sleep. Yes you don’t want to spend all your time in your bed but it will feel deliriously delicious to just linger in a soft, comfy bed. I’m telling you. It’s amazing.
- You might make some friends. When you aren’t spending all your time running after your kids you can have time to have meaningful conversations. And sometimes those can turn into friendships. You never know!
It will feel deliriously delicious to just linger in a soft, comfy bed.
What is the Permission to Hustle Retreat?
Permission to Hustle Retreats were born from an idea of getting a small amount of women together to mastermind. They were created by fabulous creators Audrey and Vera to help bloggers be together, sit together, and talk and laugh.
They wanted to give bloggers the opportunity to be our true selves and invite a diverse group of women to come together and immerse themselves in a retreat, “away” from it all. These retreats (this is the 3rd) brings together both work and play components.
Audrey and Vera realized that our hustles grow when we give ourselves the time to be just US. The retreats mix together knowledge, fun, and adventure. This is what a mom vacation is all about!
It’s been a dream come true to host these retreats and we can’t wait to be back at sea with Carnival for this 3rd one! We’re thrilled to share that we have some amazing speakers onboard to share their knowledge, expertise and passion with us.
Some of the speakers:
- LaShawn Wiltz from Everyday Eyecandy shared her knowledge on Instagram strategies when it comes to in-feed posts and Instagram Stories.
- Ciaran Blumenfeld from Juiced Social shared her extensive knowledge about hashtag trends and usage, and also share on how to optimizing your content in the best possible ways.
- Sami Cone from Sami Cone got us all excited about public speaking with tips on how to book speaking engagements and also ways to create video content.
- Kuleen Lashley from A Blogger’s Best Friend discussed SEO tactics, how to rework old content on your blog, and how to revive an old site.
My 5 Day Carnival Cruise
Attendees of the Permission to Hustle Carnival cruise spent 5 nights on the Carnival Paradise ship. We stopped in Cozumel and Grand Cayman (and saw no issues because of coronavirus thank goodness). Carnival hosted us and gave us each a shared balcony room and special extras throughout the trip, such as a beach day excursion in Grand Cayman. Aside from that though, we experienced the ship like everyone else.
We ate. And ate. And ate. Wow! The food was really good. I opted for the sit down restaurants more often than the buffets just as a preference. Honestly the item I am thinking about most is the handcrafted individually fired pizzas. And the cheesecake. Because…cheesecake.
The stateroom was lovely and very practical with just enough space (as cruise cabins go). The balcony was EVERYTHING though. I seriously don’t think I can take a cruise without a balcony now. #thankscarnival
