Tennis lovers unite! The BB&T 2019 Atlanta Open is coming to back to town! Come to Atlantic Station starting on July 24th for a full week of some outstanding tennis. There will also be special events like concerts, clinics, parties and food! It is one of my favorite tennis weeks of the year. (You know besides ALTA or USTA playoffs…or City Championships!) I can’t wait!

1. See Venus Williams Play at the BB&T 2019 Atlanta Open
One of the greatest women’s tennis players of all-time comes back to the 2019 BB&T Atlanta Open! Yes! You get to see Venus play in person! She will play an exhibition match vs. hotshot Madison Keys on July 21, 2019.
Venus has won an astounding 49 career singles titles including 7 Grand Slams. In doubles, she has added an additional 22 titles and 14 Grand Slams. This year, Venus made the Australian Open finals at the age of 36.
2. See Legend Andy Roddick Play.
Don’t miss a chance to see a former ATP World Tour No. 1 and an Atlanta favorite, Andy Roddick, this summer at Atlantic Station. The BB&T Atlanta Open welcomes back former champion, Roddick, for a special Monday night exhibition match on July 22. Roddick will face a former rival in Atlanta’s own Robby Ginepri. Roddick won his first ATP World Tour title in Atlanta in 2001, and then his last singles ATP title at Atlantic Station in 2012. He also claimed the 2003 US Open singles title. This is a chance to show some love to a great champion and see an American tennis legend in person.

5. New Venue for 2019 (but still at Atlantic Station)
The new tournament venue at Atlantic Station, just steps from the previous entrance, will offer more shade and air conditioning. Woohoo! Every seat in the stadium is close to the court and sight lines are some of the best in tennis. In addition to world-class tennis, there will be sponsor activities, player autograph sessions and delicious food and drink all week long. Also look for special events like Kid’s Day, College Night, Military Appreciation Night, and more.
