This month, I headed a bit north to one of the best Atlanta shopping outlets, North Georgia Premium Outlets. I had a mother daughter shopping trip planned for my 10 year old daughter and I. I wasn’t sure if she was old enough to hang with me at an outlet mall, but to my delighted surprise, she was!
I was invited to North Georgia Premium Outlets to learn more about their More Than Pink movement sponsored by Simon, a global leader in retail real estate. This movement is in support of Susan G. Komen and the fight against breast cancer. As part of its pledge to donate $1 million each year in 2017 and 2018, more than 180 participating Simon Malls, The Mills and Premium Outlets nationwide (including Atlanta shopping outlets) are participating in a range of activities through the end of May. At North Georgia Premium Outlets, this means offering a way to get even deeper discounts AND support breast cancer research at the same time!
During our really special mother daughter shopping trip, we were able to enjoy a sneak peek of the season’s hottest fashion trends, check out the More Than Pink discounts, have a yummy lunch, and most importantly, support Susan G. Komen with More Than Pink deals at participating retailers.

The North Georgia Premium Outlets, and other Simon malls and Premium Outlets across the country, are offering a Discount Card to customers called the More Than Pink discount card. It can really save you some money in addition to supporting Susan G. Komen. In exchange for a $10 donation to Susan G. Komen, shoppers will receive a Discount Card, providing 15 percent or 25 percent off one item at each participating retailer. All Discount Card donations go to Susan G. Komen. Just go to Guest Services in the Food Pavilion to get your own Discount Card.

Mother Daughter Shopping Trip at Atlanta Shopping Outlets
It was really fun, surprisingly so actually, to hang out with my daughter at one of the Atlanta shopping outlet malls. I learned she has her own fashion sense. She has her own idea of what is “cool” and what looks good to her. It was fun to experience this with her. I learned a lot about her and about myself as the mother of a daughter too.
We visited some of our favorite stores and shopped, shopped, shopped! After several hours, I was the first one to say let’s go home. My daughter was ready to keep going! We got some great deals too. We were on our way to visit Walt Disney World the week following this excursion. By being frugal and using the Discount Card, I was able to score some great deals. More importantly, I was able to create some meaningful memories with my daughter. I sense mother daughter shopping trip will be repeated…repeatedly.
