Since my kids are my everyday heroes, Disney asked me to write a sponsored post about them in conjunction with the release of Disney’s everyday heroes in the movie Disney Planes Fire & Rescue. Disney Planes Fire Rescue will be released on Blu-ray and Digital HD on Tuesday, November 4, 2014 (which also happens to be my birthday).
Like the stars of Disney Planes Fire & Rescue my kids don’t have any supernatural powers. They don’t have secret weapons or exceptional talents that help them leap a building in a single bound or see through walls or walk through fire or anything like that. But they are super heroes all the same. Just like the characters in Disney Planes Fire & Rescue they work together to get a job done. There’s nothing more satisfying to me than to see my 4 kids all pitching in to clean up a messy toy room or straighten out a Play-Doh blasted kitchen. With a family of 6, we all need to do our part and I just love it when my kids work together as a team. They have learned they can do more together then they can apart. Dusty in Disney Planes Fire & Rescue learned that lesson as well.
As the kids grow older, I’m amazed by all the little milestones they hit each day. My 4 year old finally learned to unbuckle himself from his car seat last week. My 6 year old can now tie his shoes. My two year old is working on mastering drinking from a cup without a lid. And my smarty pants 7 year old is solving for X in her gifted class. While all these things aren’t huge in the big scheme of life, they are huge in the season we are in right now. Each little goal achieved is giving my kids confidence and teaching them independence and perseverance. And for achieving these goals, my kids show me how they are everyday superheroes.
To showcase the message of how everyone can be a superhero, bring home the excitement of Disney Planes Fire & Rescue on Blu-ray and Digital HD November 4. This heart-pumping movie is part comedy and party animated adventure movie with no bad guys to give little ones nightmares. It features a dynamic crew of aircraft devoted to protecting Piston Peak National Park from wildfires. Dusty, the world famous air racer, decided to switch gears and join their aerial firefighting team after learning he might never race again. Dusty and the fire fighting crew learn how to work together to battle a raging forest fire and what it means to be true heroes. See my full review here.
Disney Planes Fire & Rescue is a heart-warming heroic story that is perfect for the whole family. (Mom and Dad will definitely find some laugh out loud parts too!) Go ahead and get the popcorn started! Buy Disney Planes Fire & Rescue, available November 4, 2014, and make it a family movie day. Since many kids are out of school that day, it could be just the thing you need to make the day special for your everyday heroes.
