I didn’t get a manicure. Or a pedicure. I didn’t cut and color my hair. I don’t have costumes picked out for the parties. I don’t even know what the parties are (except for the #DisneySide party because…well…It’s Disney). My clothes aren’t new. My shoes are utilitarian. BUT I’M HERE at Type A Parent Conference!
I was thrilled to be asked to come to this conference to represent Macy’s/Heart of Haiti and the good people at the Everywhere Agency. I get to spend the next three days absorbed in the business of my blog, meet new people, and reconnect with old friends (or ones I just know from Twitter). And I get to have a little staycation at the beautiful Grand Hyatt Buckhead!
I don’t get to set aside time like this to focus on my own business (did you know blogging is my business?) and I’m grateful for all the parts that had to come together to get me here this weekend. My husband stepped up. My in laws have helped out. My sponsor is FANTASTIC. And I’m here!
