5 Amazon Prime Day Tips For The Best Deals
1. Be ready when it starts on October 8.
Amazon Prime Day is an event for Prime members that offers more than one million deals worldwide. You will find the best deals on various products and special offers on Amazon devices and products. The deals start at midnight Pacific Standard Time and will happen throughout October 8 and 9th, and they will go quickly! Don’t have Amazon Prime? Now is a fantastic time to sign up for a free 30-day trial!
2. You can access Amazon in many ways.
You have a life, kids, and a house, and you can’t just sit around for hours looking at Amazon deals (as much as you would like to). So, to get the most out of this event, make sure you are an Amazon Prime Member and download the Amazon app. You can shop on the website, Amazon app, and Alexa-enabled Amazon devices. They make it pretty darn easy.
3. Use the “Sort” feature to find the best deals.
One thing I always like to do is to filter my results in a specific category by the biggest discount. This is an easy way to find some extra amazing deals. This will work especially well if you are searching for Amazon Prime Day travel deals and aren’t necessary looking for specific brands.
4. Share your Prime membership.
Amazon allows you to share your Prime benefits if you have a spouse, partner, or even an adult-ish child in your home. However, you can share them with only one additional adult in your household. And this is not just for Prime Day. The other adult can use them all year long! Check out the top trending beauty items on sale for Prime Day right now!
5. Look for “Spotlight” and “Lightning” deals for limited time savings.
Spotlight Deals will feature deep discounts on top brands and popular items. There will also be Lightning Deals, which will run for a limited time and in limited quantities. Like a quiet moment in the car, these deals will be gone fast! One of the deals I am most looking forward to is the 30% off select Neutrogena, Aveeno and Clean & Clear products. I use these products for myself and my kids daily and love the idea of getting them on sale! Don’t miss the top deals on Neutrogena products for moms over 35.
12 Amazon Prime Day Travel Deals
1. Comfy Joggers, $25
I’m a big fan of comfortable fashion. Joggers are a staple in my wardrobe because of that belief. These soft jogging pants come with a draw-string waist and cinched cuffs. The wide selection of colors is a plus as well!
1. Echo Show – Now $49
Prime members will enjoy the biggest deals yet on Alexa-enabled products, including Echo, Fire TV, and Fire tablets, on Prime Day. This includes big savings on the Echo Show. This device is small enough to pack, so you don’t have to rely on your watch or those 1980s alarm clocks in hotels.
The Echo Show costs just $49. It offers everything you love about Alexa plus the ability to show things. You can watch videos and news clips, see song lyrics and security cameras, browse and listen to podcasts and more.
2. Two-Piece Travel Outfit, $49
Skip the Gen-Z trend of wearing pajamas when you travel! However, you can still look sharp and be comfortable at the same time. This two-piece sweat suit with wide-leg, high-rise pants and a half-zip sweater is the perfect travel outfit. When you wear well-fitted, monochromatic hoodies, sweatshirts, joggers and wide-leg sweats, you look more put together. Travel like you have an impeccable fashion sense!
3. Audible Membership 3 months for $.99
I love Audible, but it can be pricey. The Amazon Prime Day deal includes a 3-month membership of Audible for $.99 ($44 savings!). You can only get this deal during Prime Days. New subscribers only. You keep your audiobooks forever, even if you cancel. Don’t love the book? Swap it for free anytime. You can even share audiobooks with friends!
4. Solar Power Bank $30 (90% off!)
This solar power bank portable charger uses strong, professional material. It is chemical-resistant, heat-resistant, waterproof, drop-proof and dust-proof, so you don’t have to worry about damage. This powerbank can work in extreme environments and is perfect for travel or emergencies.
5. Compression Packing Cubes, $60
Don’t pay those hefty luggage fees! Use this six-piece compression packing cube set to fit more in your carry-on luggage! I like these specific cubes because their double zipper allows you to squeeze in up to 40% more while you travel. They are great for organization and keep your close wrinkle-free. I’m a fan of the new, chic colors.
6. Travel Blanket, $30
These premium BlueHills travel blankets are one of my favorite Amazon Prime Day travel deals. They are made from premium, soft, plush materials and will keep you warm and comfortable. They can be used as a blanket or a pillow. The blanket has a compact carrying case, adjustable straps, and backpack clips. These travel blankets are great for airplane journeys, camping trips, road trips, cars, trains, or cozy evenings at home.
7. Fast-Charging Portable Charger, $15 (save 85%)
This is a travel must-have! I have it, and it is so handy. The small portable phone charger is as small as a tube of lipstick and easily slips into your pocket or purse to be ready for all your travel escapades. The ultra-compact profile even accommodates phones with 0.09-inch thick slim cases.
8. Sneaker Balls, $15
These shoe freshener sneaker balls are like little ninjas fighting off odors. They’re small, powerful, and can sneak into any sneaker, gym bag, or suitcase to eliminate odor. Each pack includes six balls that can last up to 6 months, making them a cost-effective solution for odor problems when traveling or at home.
9. Adidas Essentials Hoodie $26
Do you need another hoodie? “Need” is so subjective. This super cozy Adidas Essentials fleece hoodie is a favorite of mine because of the long sleeves and relaxed fit. Personally, I like to buy men’s hoodies and sweatshirts for the longer sleeves and roomier chest area. If you are a woman of “substance,” you may want to consider looking at this option.
10. EcoRoots Lotion Bar, $18
Sustainable and waterless, this travel-friendly and eco-friendly solid lotion bar saves water and reduces plastic waste. I love this company’s dedication to zero waste with compostable packaging and recyclable metal tins. The handcrafted, artisanal, small-batch lotion includes Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, and Jojoba Oil. It is wonderful for traveling as you don’t have to worry about the 3 oz air travel rule. Plus, it seems to last forever!
11. Portable Hand-Held Fan $15
I traveled to Arizona, Las Vegas, and New York in the sweltering heat of July, so a portable handheld fan was needed. Anyone going through menopause might need to throw this in their purse year-round. I like the fact that it is rechargeable, so I won’t run out of batteries. Also, while it is a hand-held fan, it can clip onto a stroller, bag or umbrella or sit upright on its own. It is convenient for any traveling or commuting. If you are heading to the Caribbean, Hawaii, South America or any other warm-weather destination in the coming months, this fan is a must-buy.
12. Travel Duffle Bag, $14
This overnight travel duffle bag is in my cart right now. I can’t wait to take it on my upcoming trip to St. Louis. This travel duffle bag can fit 2-3 days of daily essentials. It has eight pockets to organize items, including a pocket for easy access to phones, IDs or passports and a separate shoe compartment. It comes with an extra toiletry bag to store cosmetics/toiletries and fits 99% of airlines’ carry-on requirements.
