You are loved. Yes, you. All of you. Of us. I read those words today in a children’s book and they stopped me in my tracks. I needed to hear them at that moment. I didn’t know it until then but I needed to be reminded of the love that surrounds me.
In case you are like me, I want to take this moment to remind you:
YOU ARE LOVED.
There are people in this world who would not be who they are without you being who are. People who may not show it or say it but who love you with all their hearts, as best as they can. There are people walking around among us who are just waiting to show us the love that surrounds us if we can only see it.
There are people around you who are waiting for you to reach out. They are waiting for you to connect with them. They are waiting for your presence in their lives. There are people who worry about you and pray for you and would love to tell you and show you that you are loved. Let them.
And remember that God loves you. I picture Him looking down on us sometimes with glassy eyes knowing how heavy our hearts are and how much sadness and grief and disappointment can fill our lives. He is waiting for us though. He is waiting for us to look up and call out. He’s waiting for us to take his hand and step out into the light. He’s waiting patiently to show us the love we deserve.
So if today finds you down or overwhelmed or overburdened, if today finds you sad or angry or feeling unappreciated, if today finds you wondering if you are strong enough to carry on, this post is written for you. You. Are. Loved.
